Question:
I need to know is there a WLS Dr that will see me even though
he did not do my WLS. I had my WLS in Shrevport but I live in Dallas. I have not had a follow since my 6 month and I'm now 26 months out on 08/11/05. The reason for this is that I was laid off of my job a month before my WLS but still was able to have it because my Cobra Insurance kicked in and I was already approved. I have not had any major issues but I know I need to get a check up. My husband now has United Health Care PPO. If there is anybody in Dallas That's reading this please help. — Stacie B. This is also something a trusted primary provider can give you. I know
when I moved to Florida I contaced a couple of surgeons and spoke with the
nurse in the office. I asked if they could suggest any WLS friendly PCP's
in the area. I also asked if they could provide a list of tests/checks
that would be recomended for someone at my stage in the game. Most didn't
really care to talk to me and answer my questions, but one did...and had an
in depth conversation with me. I realized that this particular surgeon
would get my business if I ever needed one...but it also allowed me to get
in contact with a PCP that could handle all of my medical needs. Good Luck

Dr Meyers and Dr Wiltse are wonderful.....I am seeing them for a revision.
I have to do 2 more months of 'doc supervised' program....as if WLS is not
doctor supervised.....oh well....must jump through insurance hoops again!
DO NOT go to Dr Alexander! He did my first and my pouch is too big and not
bypassed enought....hence the reason for the revision.
