Question:
If drinking with a meal is a no no . . . how do you take you vitamins?
Sometimes even the little things get so complicated. I was told to take my vitamins with my meals so I drink the smallest amount I need to get them down but there are four at each meal so I that means I am drinking at least a few ounces with two of my meals, how does everyone else do it? — Diane S. I don't take my vitamins with my meals........I just thought it was
important that the stomach wasn't empty so I take my evening batch at
around 9:00 which is about an hour after I have dinner. I've done it that
way for years so hope I'm not messing up since my anatomy has changed.

I drink 2 glasses of water, take my vits, with a sip of water, then about
1/2 hr later eat breakfast. I take the calcium 3x/day (without a sip of
water tho) so the same way, drink 2 glasses of water, calcium and 1/2 hr
later lunch...etc.. I'm almost 4 years out, no problems.

I think taking with meals means to have something on your stomach when you
take them so it isn't as harsh on your tummy. I, personally, take my vites
right BEFORE I eat. I drink as much water as I need to get them down and
immediately follow with food. If I don't, I get very nauseated from the
pills with no food in my system. HTH.

I take vitamins 60-90 minutes after a meal, per my surgeon.

I use chewables, so I don't need water.

Try taking them 5 minutes before you eat with a small amount of water. By
the time you eat, the water has passed thru the pouch.
