I have appealed on the basis that I believe my obesity is genetic (indogenous) not Exogenous which means (caused from the outside) . I need help anyone with any information or anything that may help me please , please let me know. Insurance Co. The Calends Group. Thank you,    — Karen R. (posted on June 21, 2003)

The technical definition of morbid obesity is: Morbid obesity is a life-long, progressive, life threatening, genetically-related, costly, multi-factorial disease of excess fat storage with multiple co-morbidities (obesity related health conditions).” If you visit asbs.org they will give other genetically based statistical data on morbid obesity. You may wish to submit this definition along with proof that either your parents or others in your immediate family are morbidly obese. Best wishes to you!
