Real Meals has 60 gram of protein. You cannot buy in stores - but there is
a link from this web site. Protein drinks are the only way I know of to get
this much in early on.

A Post-Op friend gave me this receipe:
2 C 1% Milk
1/2 C Dry nonfat Carnation dry milk
1 envelope of No Sugar Added Carnation Instant Breakfast
Blend and drink. Provides between 20-25 grams of Protein and taste great!

I use ProScore 100 choc (like there's any other flavor) for my main one. 2
wsc + 8 oz water + ice. I get 32g protein, 0g sugars and only 160 cal.
It's kept me thin & healthy for years & years now. I also use a
few others, depending on my mood, but PS100 is my fave. I get about 180g a
day

Congrats on your surgery....... It depends if you want a thin drink or a
thicker drink. I don't like the thicker drinks I like the ones like water.
I drink "Isopure" protein the Grape frost flavor i can drink it
straight or sometimes cut a SF grape popsickle up n it. The Grape Frost is
the only flavor I like.
Good luck finding something you like.........

Do you have a Vitamin World store near you?? I know thay they sell the
protein that I found to be pretty good. It is also sold online. It's
called Body Fortress Precision Engineered Whey Protein. 1 scoop is 17
grams. I used 2 scoops in 10 oz. of skim milk. Tastes pretty good and not
too thick or gritty. I also tried the Atkins Advantage shakes (pre-mixed).
I tried both of these in chocolate flavors. I do not love the supplements
but for the first month or so it's the best way to get the protein in.

Well I am 6 months out and as far as daily protein goes.. I am lucky if I
get in 25-30 grams a day.. Since the surgery I have not ben able to
tolerate milk anymore & I get full so easily it even hard to finish a
bowl of anything.. I just do the best I can, take my viatmins & drink
plenty of water.. On a rare occasion I get the dry heaves but never really
throw up.. I have lost 90 lbs so far and am thrilled with that. Everyone is
different.. My advise is do the best you can with the instructions your
doctor gives you & live your life to the fullest with the new start you
have been given.. Good Luck.
