Question:
What about Month 2 weight loss? I'm only down 34 lbs....
I started at 294(5'4"), and lost 25 in the first month. Felt like I was on top of the world. This month it's only 9 pounds. I average 705 calories a day with 55 g of protien. I'm drinking water, taking vitamins and work out at least 4 days per week for 30 minutes or more. I was hoping to hit my century mark by 6 months, but I'm not sure that it's possible with how slow things are going. I'm leary about upping my exercise now, because I want to save that 60+ minute workout for later when the weight loss is supposed to be slower. Any ideas/suggestions would be appreciated. Also, anyone else who started where I'm at and has been successful in reaching 100 or more would be great! Blessings & Thanks! — CrystalBroj (posted on March 22, 2003)

I am 5'4 & I started out at 263! I am now 3 months post-op & down
50 pounds so far. I think I'm a slow loser too BUT in all reality I'm not
& neither are you!!! I think over 30 pounds in 2 months is great! It's
so hard not to compare ourselves with everyone else because of course we
ALL want to be the ones to be at goal in 6 months. The only thing I would
suggest is to up your protein & even up your daily exercise.... even if
it is just 5 more min.
Good luck!

I think that you have to remember with the working out, you aren't always
going to see the pounds going off, just check on your inches. They say in
my support group, alot of excercise brings in muscle and causes weight
gain. Not a bad thing though. As long as you are losing inches.

Thanks for the encouragement. I have been mixing up my exercise. I walk
1-2 days per week, lift weights at the YMCA, use the elliptical trainer at
the YMCA 1-2 days per week and swim 30 minutes 1 day per week. I have
seen inches being lost -- I've lost a total of 25 inches with 3 off waist,
3 off hips and 8 off my thighs. I was just hoping my second month to keep
up with my first and see things happen a bit more quickly. Thanks for your
support! Crystal
