Question:
How soon after WLS did you have Plastic Surgery

I have lost 52 pounds in less than 3 months I have to loose another 40 to be at my doctors weight goal, My PCP has given me a number to a plastic surgeon to take care of my grade four panni. I get infections and theres a horrible oder, is this too soon?    — Teresa G. (posted on February 11, 2003)

I just recently had a visit with a ps. He had suggested to me that the weight needs to be stabilized for at least 3 months before any plastic surgery. Why? Because if there if you any more weight loss it can contribute to loose skin and that will defeat the purpose of a tt, arm - breast lift, etc. I have not stabilized yet and only have 30 lbs. to hit my goal. Believe me I'm waiting to stabilize!! Good luck to you, hope this helps.

I'm sorry I had left things out, but if your infections are getting bad enough go see the plastic surgeon maybe you can have a tt before I can due to the skin condition. Hope things go well.
