Question:
Hair loss with men

I am post op 7 months and did have the "typical" hair loss at 3-6 months. My husband is now going thru the motions of having this surgery done...my question is....Do men lose hair the same as women? I was wondering if hormones played a part in this issue. My husband is very thin on top, I have fears it won't grow back as nicely as mine is.    — Stacy B. (posted on January 15, 2003)

I think everyone is different, my brother had surgery @ 1 year before me and hardly any hairloss. Mine, however, is a different story, it comes out by the handfuls, but is now finally started to slow. I would much rather have a bald husband who is healthy than an unhealthy guy with a full head of hair. LOL!

Today is my 10 month anniversary and I have lost quite a bit over the last couple of months. I had pretty thick hair to begin with, so it's not too noticable. I hope and pray it stops soon! I'm not sure what is better, fat and hairy, or skinny and bald?!?!?!
