Question:
Is there a doctor in the Omaha, NE area who is WLS supportive?

I have recently moved to the Omaha area and am starting over looking for a good WLS supportive doctor who is also listed under BC/BS PPO Blue Preferred. Also, please let me know if anyone here has had trouble with getting approved by this insurer? I know that I need to have this surgery soon as I am slowly killing myself with this weight. I have done everything to lose but I know that sterner measures are in order so that I can be healthy again. Any answers would be very helpful. Thank you Linda    — Linda K. Hi, Linda. Welcome to Omaha:0). I don't have the same insurance as you, so I don't know if my doc is a possibility, but Dr. Paul J. Nelson is my PCP and he gave me a referral to see my surgeon. I don't think he's very familiar with WLS, but he said whatever I wanted to pursue was fine with him and he went ahead and gave me the referral. Good luck!

Yes, there is a good doctor in Omaha.. Dr. Tom J. White at Immanuel Professional Center, 6828 N. 72nd St.,Suite 5500, 572-3663 and Lakeside Wellness Center, 17030 Lakeside Hills Plaza, 758-5544.. He has two offices.. Good Luck!!!

I grew up in the Omaha area. I now live near Fort Riley, Kansas. My insurance in Tri-Care Prime (military). A few of my friends have had WLS surgery done with Tri-Care Insance in the Omaha area.
