Question:
Ever heard of suturing stomach to abdominal wall with radiopaque tag
One surgeon I interviewed explained that he sutures the distal portion of the stomach to the abdominal wall with a radiopaque tag so that the blind portion of the stomach can be easily accessed if it needs to be scoped in the future. Has anyone else heard of this? Are there disadvantages? — Hillarie C. (posted on November 13, 2002)

Yes - I read it somewhere. I am not at all sure - but I think it is to
keep the "big" stomach in place- which maskes sense if you have
to locate it. Te tag sounds like a good idea - but who am I?
