Question:
Have a big hernia and all of a sudden I have a lot of nausea.

I AM 5 1/2 MONTHS POST-Op and I have noticed in the last few days that taking a drink of water fills me up and makes up feel nauseas. I am not eating much as it does the same. You need to see your doctor. If a hernia strangulates, it is very serious. You could also have a stricture and that will cause nausea. I had a suture work it's way into my pouch and that was causing me nausea. I didn't throw up a lot but I quit eating and drinking like I should because I was miserable. An endoscopy showed the problem and the doctor snipped the offending suture and it would have been fine if I hadn't waited so long to have it seen about. I was dehydrated and ended up spending two days in the hospital getting IVs. So, my advice is CALL YOUR DOCTOR.
