Question:
What about pregnancy after Tummy-Tuck?
Before someone gets mad...I couldn't find the answer to this in the library and I looked. Ok...I am 24 years old and I would love to have children someday (within the next 5 or 6 years)I hope I don't need a TT...but if I do end up getting one, is it true that you shouldn't get one before having kids? I've heard pregnancy totally destroys the "job" that the TT did on your flat belly and it stays stretched out. — Kelly C. (posted on July 16, 2002)

Kelly, if needed I would totally recommend it. I went for the TT consult.
The doctor told me that if you have it before kids, the tummy will stretch
afterwards like any other woman's tummy would. Thus you'd be
"normal". That's wonderful to me.

I really think you need to talk with a surgeon. People call it a
"tummy tuck" regardless of whether or not the surgeon had to do
work on your muscles. I'm post op from having one with a LOT of work done
to my muscles and understand I shouldn't get pregnant. Since its important
to you to both have your tuck and retain the possibility of having children
I'd be sure to find out for sure from a surgeon when he does a consult.
