Question:
I have a question about taking sublingual B-12 tablets..
I know with the liquid you have to wait 30 seconds before you swallow. With the tablets do you have to wait until they dissolve to swallow? It takes a good 4-5 minutes for mine to dissolve and there's no way I can go that long without swallowing. — sheltie (posted on June 25, 2002)

I take sub-ling B-12 every night in the pill form and yup, it takes quite a
while to disolve. I swallow though. It's stuck pretty good under my
tounge so my swallow doesn't seem to effect it.

I also take the sub-lingual B12, I just let it disssolve under my tongue,
doesn't bother me , although it does take a while to dissolve.. I'm sure it
won't hurt to swallow any liquid that builds up in your mouth..

It's okay to swallow, just don't swallow the pill before it's dissolved.

I've been taking sub-l b12 for 6 months now and my blood work is almost
perfect. It sits under my tounge and dissolves and I swallow all the spit
(pardon my french ;) ). I have had very good results with them. ---Good
Luck

I usually take my sub-lingual at bedtime. It melts under my tongue while I
fall asleep (I must swallow the spit while I'm asleep too).
