Question:
Anyone know of a Dr. in Michigan who will take medicaid??

Upper Peninsula Health plan aka Medicaid has approved my surgury but I don't have a Dr. Anyone know of any Docs in the state of Michigan or Northern Wisconsin that will take Medicaid for WLS? Any help would be much appreciated. God bless all of you.    — Ilene S. (posted on March 22, 2002)

You might try Drs Woods and Sappala at St John in Detroit or even The Bariatric Treatment Center in Ypsilanti. I'm not positive that either take Medicade, but I wouldn't be surprised if they do. I've seen mention on this website of some doctors in Flint, but I don't remember who. You might check the archives. Good luck!
