Question:
Has anybody been approved by First Health PPO through State Farm Group Insurance plan

I have been through the Insurer research info on this site but can not find any info here in PA. I have a surgery date 3/20/02 and really need to know if they approve with minimal co-morbs but have a BMI 50(+/-). Thanks for any input. Happy Holidays! Debbie    — Deborah F. HI, I'm in Bloomington, In. I work for a State Farm agent here and have SF group First Health/PPO. I had open rny 9/24/01 did not have a problem with approval. did have to make sure they knew it was not cosmetic surgery. Had bmi of 43 at 266.6lbs. at surgery, with being diabetic, high blood pressurwe, high colestrol and fluid retention, taking 8 different meds a day plus insulin shots. Off of fluid, acid reflux, down to 1 blood pressure med a day from 3- 2x day, and insulin WAY down. I've lost 66lbs. to date. Energy coming back, feel and look much better. Good luck. Juanita
