Question:
I'm 3 days Pre-Op, and have been having terrible nightmares. Is this normal?

For the last few days, I have not been able to sleep, and when I do, I have terrible nightmares.. neglect, beatings, just really bad stuff. Has anyone else experienced this prior to surgery? Maybe I'm more scared than I thought.    — Janet C. (posted on November 13, 2001)

Me too, they all went away after surgery. Dreams help our subconcious deal with the here and now, and your mind is trying to cope. Not to fear, once you get past surgery you will be fine. I was the biggest wimp oif all and never expected to survive surgery.... Down 90 pounds since July 23rd.
