I'm 3 days Pre-Op, and have been having terrible nightmares. Is this normal?

For the last few days, I have not been able to sleep, and when I do, I have terrible nightmares.. neglect, beatings, just really bad stuff. Has anyone else experienced this prior to surgery? Maybe I'm more scared than I thought.
