Question:
Anyone have names of attorneys in OH or elsewhere besides Walter Lindstrom?
I have been denied and have been told it is because my surgeon did not send letter of medical necessity and evaluation. BTC says it was sent and I also sent a copy today just to be sure. Someone else, today, at MMOH told me it was b/c I don't meet their criteria. I know Lindstrom helps alot of people but I left a message for him last week and still haven't even gotten a return call. I want to start the appeal NOW... Anyone know any attorneys in OH or elsewhere who have been successful with these types of issues? — J. T. (posted on November 12, 2001)

Don't even think about using anyone else but Walter and kelley. I know they
can be difficult to get a hold of and thats for a good reason, they are the
best at what they do...I just got my approval letter from Cigna last friday
(11-09-01). I really had no Idea what to expect and the waiting was very
difficult but when I finally read what they had prepared I was very
impressed. It was 20 pages of in your face knowledgable information that I
could never have come up with. Their fees are reasonable considering what
is at stake. E-mail is the best for them as they are swamped. If you phone
it can take sometime for a response. I was frustrated during the appeal
process with the communication but not only was the end product fruitfull
but they are very nice peope who have been through the same thing. Stick
with it.. Greg Seith

John Fisher in Toledo is working with me. He is NOT an obesity
specialitist but he is well versed in insurance policy and procedure, and
was recommeded by the Toledo bar. He met with me in person for an initial
consulatation free of charge. He is quite aggressive and has experience
working with insurance companies to get surgeries approved.
