Question:
Anyone with CIGNA Healthcare of Ohio HMO been approved for BPD/DS?

I'm beginning my appeal to CIGNA Healthcare of Ohio HMO for the Biliopancreatic Diversion with Duodenal Switch WLS. And I need to find anyone who has been approved for this surgery with Cigna!    — Angel C. (posted on August 8, 2001)

I HAVE CIGNA HEALTHCARE OF OHIO (HMO). IT WASN'T TO BAD TO DEAL WITH I WAS APPROVED MONDAY AUGUST 6TH FOR SURGERY. INS CALLED ME THEMSELVES TO TELL ME I WS APROVED FOR SURGERY IN OCT. THEN THE SURGEONS OFFICE CALLED TO MAKE MY APPT TO SEE THE SURGEON TO SET APPT IN OCT FOR SURGERY AND EXPLAIN PROCESS. I CAN'T WAIT. JUST STAY ON TOP OF THE SURGEONS OFFICE AND INS. KEEP CALLING BUT REMEMBER TO BE NICE AT ALL TIMES YOU GET THINGS THAT WAY. GOOD LUCK. I DEAL HAve TO APPEAL 1 TIME BUT IT TOOK ONLY 48 HOURS TO GET THE APPROVAL.
