Question:
Tenderness to the sides of incision, is it normal
I don't have any redness on the incision, a few places that are still scabbed over. It almost hurts to have a t-shirt against it but the actual inscision is not painful it's the skin to the sides maybe 1 inch on each side. I am 3 weeks post op and just got the tape off 4 days ago. Is this just the skin pulling together? — Mandy M. (posted on July 2, 2001)

This is completely normal. I'm six weeks out and still have soreness and
tenderness. It takes somewhere around 3 months for our insides to completly
heal. Try to take it easy and don't stress your abdominal muscles. Best of
luck

Yep, it's normal. I'm about four and a half months out, and I still have
just a tiny bit of tenderness, and a wee bit of numbness in a few spots. I
was told to expect this, so I did, and I'm totally okay with it. ;^)
