Question:
Breast Size. Surgery for Breast Augmentation?

Does anyone know of any way to get the insurance companies to pay for breast augmentation after WLS? I literally have NO fat in my breasts and they now fold up in my bras to be graphic. It looks terrible but more than that, they don't fit any bras. To be very graphic, they fall out of any bras that I have tried because there is nothing but skin there. Does anyone have any ideas or possibly know of anyone having been approved for breast augmentation for this reason? Thanks    — Barbara H. (posted on December 10, 2000)

Betty: Boy do I know what you mean. Not any more though. I am 10 days post from having my breasts reduced and lifted. The PS took off 500 gms of skin from each breast, as well as 4 lbs of skin from my arms. This reconstructive surgery was pre-approved by my insurance company. Slipping in implants at the end of the month when I have my abdoplasty done will be off the record and should be of minor additional cost doing it in this way.
