Question:
Do you have any info on doctors and insurance carriers that cover children?

My daughter (16) and I (50) have decided to do the WLS after attending Dr. Wittgrove's seminar. We are looking for insurance and surgeons who have done the LAP for children. Hi, My daughter is 16 and we both had surgery done with Dr. Rutledge on 12/20/99. One of the reasons I picked him was because it was the lap procedure and she did very well with the surgery. I would have never put her through the open procedure. Our insurance which is Tricare covered both of us.

My daughter will be having the BPD/DS on June 20. She will be having it with my surgeon in Spain. We are self-pay. There are 4 of us in my immediate family having the surgery. My mom is 8 days post-op, I am 7 months post-op, my brother will go sometime in May. This is a hard age for kids (my baby is 16 as well) and for a parent to give this gift to their child is a huge show of love and concern. Just think, your baby will have a chance at being normal!!! Yes my Doctor in Beverly Hills, Ca. Does CHildren age 16 and older. whom qualify. His name is Doctor Nazarian. Call his office and ask for Rick Mark to call you back. I just had my surgery Monday.
