Question:
My PCP won't refer me!!! What do I do.

Has anyone had any dealings with Kaiser in Harbor City, CA? If so, please email with the name of your doctor. My doctor knows nothing about the procedure and is reluctant to refer me. He doesn't even know where to start. I'm willing to do the footwork, if someone can help me. Thanks.    — Dannielle K. (posted on August 18, 1999)

You might consider looking for a new PCP that is WLS friendly. I know several folks that had to resort to this or tell their PCP that they would make this move if necessary. I had the same problem and know how frustrating it is....they are ignorant. Another possibility is that by educating your PCP, he/she may change their mind.

Get in touch with The Bariatric Treatment Center 1- 800 282-0066. I didn't go through my doctor. They will walk you through step-by-step.
