Question:
Has anyone experienced trapped gas (carbon dioxide) after the EGD?

I had an EGD done a week ago for a stricture and afterwards could not even get off of the table to go home. I was bloated from neck to groin from the gas used during the procedure. Ended up in the hospital over night, with just pain medicines. My doctor stuck a 6 inch epidural needle in my side and released some of the gas. I went home still hurting and now, a week later, the gas is still trapped behind my diaphragm...and it cannot be passed!!! It must be absorbed by my body. Anyone experience anything like this??
