Has anyone experienced trapped gas (carbon dioxide) after the EGD?

I had an EGD done a week ago for a stricture and afterwards could not even get off of the table to go home. I was bloated from neck to groin from the gas used during the procedure. Ended up in the hospital over night, with just pain medicines. My doctor stuck a 6 inch epidural needle in my side and released some of the gas. I went home still hurting and now, a week later, the gas is still trapped behind my diaphragm...and it cannot be passed!!! It must be absorbed by my body. Anyone experience anything like this?? How long did it last??
