Question:
bcbs approval for thigh lift surgery
I need a thigh lift or even a thigh plasty and I cannot get bcbc of Ga to pay for it, they paid for the tummy tuck, but keep denying the thighplasty, can anyone help me with their guidelines for approval, I have reoccurance of yeast in fections, and my GYN has also submitterd letters stating the necessitiy of the surgery, but no luck. — johnlette H. Do a peer search for Teena A. She has an awesome appeal letter that caused
her inc. to pay for TT.Breast lift, arms, and Butt and all. Check it it is
awesome. She is a wiz I hear. Best Wishes.

Good Luck! I didn't even waste my time asking BCBS to pay for my leg skin
removal as thruthfully I cannot say it is anything but cosmetic. It looks
horrible but it doesn't really have any medically necessary need to be
removed. They covered my full extended abdominoplasty done in 2 surgeries
but not the lateral thigh portion of the LBL. My legs, arms and breasts
aren't even worth argueing about. I have tons of skin after losing 252 lbs
but they want a medical condition that will be fixed and nothing else. If
it was so bad it was preventing you from walking then I think they would
cover it. Anything less than that and they won't. I'm having the skin
removed on Nov 10th. It ain't cheap but it is necessary to make my legs
look like they belong on my body. Right now they look like I stole them
from a long legged Sharpei!
