Question:
Will BCBS of TN PPO cover this surgery??

I have BCBS of TN PPO (Network P). I called them just to see if they would tell me if they do cover it at all, and the lady I spoke with told me they would not, even with a docs referal. Is this true? Has anyone had a problem with coverage using this particular insurance? What insurances in TN are the best to have for this surgery?    — Sandra D. (posted on November 11, 2003)

I used to have BCBS and they had an exclusion policy and would not pay for the surgery. I switched to John Deere and had absolutly no problems. They paid for everything,100 percent. Approval took about 3 days. I live in Maryville , but had my surgery done in Virginia , with Dr Andrew Kramer. Wishing you the best!

I have BCBS of TN PPO. They approved my WLS earlier this year without a problem. My PCP even recommended I change from John Deere to BCBS. He said they would be more likely to cover it. Good luck.
