Question:
What insurance is best for fedral emplyees
It is almost open season and I was wondering if there are any federal employees out there that can tell me what is the best insurance to select for abdominalplasty and thigh lift. I have so much loose skin since loosing 150lbs and it gets in the way of everything. I live in Dallas and would welcome any responses from federal employess with knowledge in this area — ralind B. Hi, I have BCBS FED and I am going through the "bullcrap" with
BCBS FED about this same subject. I had LAP RNY 02/11/03 and have lost
120lbs. I have excess skin as well, mainly in the abdomen and inner
thighs. BCBS FED will NOT give prior approval on abdominioplasty and thigh
lift. Basically, what happens is....you have the procedures done and have
the doctors office file the claim for you and HOPE they pay. BCBS has a
team of physicians that look over the claim and the clinical notes
submitted and they decide if it was medically necessary or not. There is a
90% chance they WILL pay for the tummy tuck, but not the thigh lift. The
problem this has presented to me is I have to pay for it all up front to
get it done, then file and hope they pay for all of it or at least pay for
the tummy tuck. Good luck, we are at the end of our journeys and the
insurance thing is just plain annoying !!
