Question:
Has anyone had really bad genital iching?
I am three months out and all of a sudden have a terrible itching? It isn't a yeast infection and there are no physical signs that I can see. The only thing I can think is maybe my hair has fallen out some and the new is growing back. I have an appt with a OBGYN but I thought I'd see if anyone had something like this. — Rebecca K. There are other "infections" down there in addition to yeast.
Last year I had something and was placed on anti-biotics which cleared it
up. I didn't have an STD (if I did my hubby would be dead by now), my
"infection" was caused by something unkown and was bacterial in
nature. Best wishes -

As the other poster said, it can be an infection of a different variety.
Believe it or not, you can get the same infection that causes
"athlete's foot" in your genitals. The treatment is the same too
- wash well with gentle soap and water, rinse well, and dry well (I've even
heard of using a hair dryer to get really dry). Then apply the medication
your doctor recommends.

Call your Primary doc and get a fasting blood sugar. I had the same
problem as first poster - only symptom was the itching. I would like to
have used sandpaper on it (lol) if I could it was so bad and happened
almost overnight. I found out my blood sugar had been running in the
800's! Have them do an A1C also - it gives you an idea of how your blood
sugars have been running over the past few months. Good Luck. HUGS, HUGS
and more HUGS!
