Question:
How long after giving birth can you have this surgery?

i had my 3rd and final child on mother's day, 5/11/03. Is there a time frame after giving birth that you have to weight to be able to have this surgery like 6 months or a year? I have my first appt. on 9/23/03 w/ my surgeon and i am nervous that i won't be able to have it done because i had a baby in May.    — aprile L. (posted on August 25, 2003)

I thought I would let you know, that when I went to my initial consult with my surgeon, I was only 4 months post baby! I had my surgery at 6 months post baby! My doctor never mentioned to me about it being a problem to have surgery soon after giving birth. I was finished breast feeding at 3 months. I think that would be the only concern. I had a typical vaginal delivery, and was completely healed by the time I went to my consult. I don't think that it should be an issue. Good luck!
