I don't remember who it is, but one of the women here says her doc
recommends grape nuts soaked in grape juice for constipation. I haven't
tried it, but it might work for you.

some people also eat a tsp or two of grapenuts mixed into their daily
yogurt. I like to just have them once in a while - hot or cold. Doesn't
matter. But I limit them because I limit carbs. Personal preference. To
get my system kicked in when it doesn't want to go, I drink a bit of prune
juice, eat some raisins, or have a salad lunch and dinner. The salad is my
favorite for a laxative. Ah the joys of fiber :>)

I don't think Grapenuts in milk heated would hurt. You might want to try
All Bran and let that get mushy for even more fiber. One thing that always
gets me moving is any artificially sweetened candy that contains any of the
-atols. (sugar alcohol)

I have found that the best cereal with tons of fiber is the Lean Kashi Go
Crunch. It is out of this world and has tons of fiber which will help with
your bathroom problems. But always ask your doc first. Good Luck to you.

My surgeon has me eat GrapeNuts every day but I'm 18 months post-op and
didn't start them til I was about 8 months out. Don't eat anything that
high in fiber without checking with your surgeon. There are some
prescription medications he can give you that might be better for your new
pouch than cereal. My surgeon gave me MiraLax - it's not a laxative but
works really well and is easy on the tummy.
