First of all, I'd check around on pricing. Its not simply a matter of
"you get what you pay for" as some AREAS are lower priced than
others. Besides some areas of the US being cheaper than others, if you're
OK with it you might check outside of the US. I chose a surgeon in Mexico
and have recommended him to anyone who asks, and am especially glad to help
others who needed surgery done and couldn't afford it at the rates in the
US. If you can get the costs lower to start it helps. Also knowing what
you're looking at needing done and whether or not the surgeon you chose can
combine surgeries and thus cut your costs will help too. As for actually
coming up with the money, depending on what you have done and how much the
cost you may just be able to save for several months or so and have enough.
Or, if you're desperate enough, you can put in on a credit card. I've
done both of those.

Be sure to check out the medical spending account Sunflower talked about
careful. The one we have at my job will not allow you to use it for plastic
surgery.
