Question:
What qualifications need to be met for tummy tuck, arms, back, breasts, etc?

I was denied for all by my insurance carrier (PHCS, Maryland). They said I did not meet the qualifications for the plastic surgery. My panni hangs 1/3 down my thighs, I have skin on my back that hangs 1/2 way down, I have to wear clothes way too big to tuck all the skin in, I am constantly fighting rashes, it is horrible. I think you have the right to receive a written list of the qualifications. I don't think they can just say you aren't qualified without telling you why you didn't. Kimberly

I read this woman's proflie where the same thing happened to her. She took pictures of the extra skin and sent it to her insurance co. They approved her right away! Sometimes seeing is believing. Good Luck and DON'T give up!

DOCUMENTATION! You need to go to the doctor and complain of rashes, backpain, foul smell etc...get medicine and continously return! after 3 to 6 months of unresponsive treatment, you have an appeal! i was denied twice but won on appeal!Good Luck*
