Question:
Has anyone switched insurance to a insurer who will cover the operation?

My insurance company will cover Gastric Bypass, however I am being declined because the company I work for has chosen not to cover this surgery in their plan. Has anyone had success in switching insurance providers? More specifically I want to know if anyone has been APPROVED when insured on their own and not through their employer's insurance. Don't give up wih your present insurance co. Find out who your plan administrator is (with your employer) and go to them directly. I know people who have had success doing that.
