Question:
wandering how long i have to wait to get rid of h.pilory?

my surgery was postponed until i get rid of h.pylori, my dr says that i take 2 weeks of antibiotics, also i have to see a gastroenterologist, then it will take a month before they test my blood again, i will like to know if my surgery approval will be affected if i don't have surgery on this month..can anyone help me, also i would like to know if anyone had that same problem ?...thank you in advance.    — sonia M. Hi, I didn't have the bacteria, but i did have an ulcer in the lower part of my stomach, I'm still on the medication, i had to take the medication for 6 weeks, i have 3 weeks left, then I'll be scoped again to see if its all healed up.. Then I can have the surgery.. I've heard that the approval is good for like 6 months.. I hope this helps..

I too had problems with hyplori testing high. It took me three different rounds of the treatment. I had read on the internet that often times even after it is cleared it still reads positive unless the do a breath test or scope. I ended up doing a scope after the blood test still came back high and it was cleared up. I'm having surgery in a little over a month and he seems to think it will be okay.
