Question:
Has anyone had plastic surgery in Norther VA or MD??

I'm looking for a good plastic surgeon in the Northern Virginia or Maryland area. If anyone has had experience with one and feels really good about it I'd LOVE to get your input! Please HELP! I'm sooooooo ready to have my excess skin removed! It's putting such a hinderance on the way I look. I feel great about my weight loss (- 162 lbs) but have some issues about appearance of a couple areas and need to get them fixed! Any advice would be MUCH appreciated. Dr. Rodriguez at GBMC is wonderful. He did my tummy tuck and breast lift and as soon as I can get some pictures taken I will update my photos!

Lori, I'm in No. VA too and like you, will be looking for a good plastic surgeon in our area soon and am interested in recommendations. There are a few recommendations on the plastic surgery portion of this board, but just a few in our area and most were recent. I would suggest that you attend a meeting of the Staple Club, which meets at Fair Oaks Hospital (close to you!). There are hundreds of people that show up and there are sure to be some who have had their plastics already and can recommend surgeons. I met one woman there who had a lower body lift and brought pictures for everyone to see! YIKES! The next meeting is Monday, Feb 10th at 7 pm. Go to www.stapleclub.com for more info and directions.

Lori: I am scheduled to have plastic surgery on June 30th at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore. I am having my thighs, TT and arms done. I live in the DC area, but have gone to Dr. Michelle Shermak at JH because she has done many of these lifts and she has had significant success in getting these procedures covered (for me, all if covered except the arms). Let me know if you want any more info about Dr. Shermak. She is great. Wish me luck!

I'm not sure why you said NoVA and MD only.. what about DC? You should check into Dr. Olding.. he comes highly recommended. Good luck.. I'm starting my PS journey soon too.
