Question:
How Long Before I Get A Surgery Date After First Consult?

Just wondering if everyting goes right with approvals,( insurance and test) how much time on average does it take from your first consult to an actual surgery date? I'm 5'3 & 298lbs, I live in southern N.J, and my first consult is with doctor Slotman on the 26th of Nov. I made this app. 5 month ago and wanted to know will it take this much time to get a date for surgery?    — aleeish J. (posted on November 22, 2002)

I started my journey back in March 02 I saw my doctor in July for the first time. I am set for surgery Dec 5th. I guess it all depends on your doctor and how busy he is. It also depends on your insurance. How much they want and how fast it takes them to approve you. Hope this gives you a little help.
