Question:
CPT codes for everything??
I need codes to turn in for a pre cert. I know what it the code for the actual RNY is but what about all the other things that I will be billed for (hospital, anesthesia, diagnostic etc....) The Dr. can only give me the RNY code and I am having no luck getting the other codes from the hospital etc. Thanks! — Jenn J. (posted on August 6, 2002)

Only the RNY needs to be pre-certified. The other things, anesthesia
hospital etc. come along with pre-cert for RNY, although your surgeons
office will need to estimate the # of hospital days you will need. I work
for a surgeon, and they should be doing all of this, not you.

ORIGINAL POSTER- I will be paying all costs but will receive discount
prices based on the CPT codes so the pre cert. is so we can calculate cost
etc. If I still only need the RNY code, that is great, but I think I need
more. :)

Hi. I typed in "CPT CODES" and found a site online where you type
in the procedure and it gives you the code. Try
www.myhealthscore.com/consumer/phyoutcptsearch.htm I hope this helps!
