Question:
How early is to early to scuba dive?

My husband joined a class to get certified to scuba dive and he really wants me to learn also. I'm only 10 weeks post-op. The next available class would be at 4 months post-op. It involves lifting a 35 lb tank. If anyone knows anything about diving please let me know what you think. Thanks    — Alison N. (posted on May 20, 2002)

If your only concern is the lifting, I was lifting my 2 y/o at 4 weeks post op and he was about 35 lbs. But I feel this is a question best left answered by your surgeon.
