Question:
I would like to talk to women in their 20's who have had WLS, Will I need breast implants?
I am wondering if I will want to have breast implants after I lose all the weight. Pre-op I am a 40C (not too big). I am afraid to lose it all! I have heard that the younger you are, the less fat tissue you have in your breasts and maybe the less you will lose. I am 24. Anyone have implants after surgery? — emilyfink (posted on March 8, 2002)

I'm 24. I started at 361 and I wore a 46DD. Well, I've lost 136 and I'm a
38DD. I haven't noticed them getting any smaller, but I have noticed them
heading a little farther south! I'm thinking maybe a breast lift may be in
order. There is a site that I've visited, where the girl (in her early
20's) did have to get implants. She's got pictures. Her site is

Hi , I am 29, 7 months post op , and was wearing a 40D pre op. I now am in
a 36 C , but I still have about 65 lbs more to go. When I was thin in a
past life LOL, I usually wore a 34 B, but now that weight loss and gravity
have stepped in I can see myself needing implants. I need to start saving
money LOL

Ha! I wonder this exact thing. I am pre-op, but my surgery is scheduled for
June 11, 2002. We will see! I am 23 and about a 42C myself, and I too worry
that they will disappear. That's ok. If they do, I'll just wear lots of
cute strappy shirts with no bra! =) Keep me updated, I would like to know
how you fare.

I'm 23 and don't have anything but mosquito bites really. *L* I have
always wanted a boob job and intend to do so to make myself happy. Of the
little I have, I have noticed that they have shrunk a little. Not a cup
size, but I notice they are getting flatter. Jennifer: Congrats on your
surgery. That's my birthday! Good luck!

Hello. I'm 22. Although I'm only 6 weeks out, I have lost LOTS of inches on
the "around" measurement, but NONE from the cup size. Big boobs
run in my family though so I'm afraid I'm goin to look like Dolly Parton.
If that is the case then I would want a reduction. I'm a really full DD or
a DDD. I'd be happy with a B if that's what it came down to, but if they
shrunk much more I would get implants. Good luck!
