Question:
Does anyone have UNICARE HMO and have this surgery approved?

I am from IL and have UNICARE HMO. I have searched UNICARE HMO under IL, and found that there are many people who list this insurance, and they are all "waiting for a reply"... I tried emailing some of them, and there either was no responce, or email has been changed... I was wondering if anyone here has UNICARE HMO and had their surgery approved..... Thanks! I don't know if this helps, but I had Unicare PPO, and was approved no problem. They just wanted a thyroid test, psych. eval., and a letter from my PCP stating that I am medically sound to have surgery. Hope this helps. Good Luck!

I live in Texas and have Unicare Classic PPO as my secondary insurance through my husbands employer. They approved my surgery yesterday - YIPPEE!! It was a very speedy process. Good Luck!!
