Question:
Has anyone here ever gone to Mexico for surgery?Dr. Rumbaut?

I got an e-mail from one of the women in outr WLS support group.She is a cash pay also and has decided on having surgery in Mexico. She will be going in February... 1. The cost is a total of $10.000 US dollas dollars including a week in hospital. 2. After visiting the Doctors Web Site and reading. He seems to do a lot of lapbanding. 3. No waiting list 4. Rhonda, do more research. There are a couple of Doc's in Mexico that do this surgery. Sorry I am bad with names but there is one lady going to have her's this week I think. Doc's name is Rumbaugh or something like that. You can find it somewhere!

I had my surgery in Mexico City with an excellent dr. who only does the LAP RNy and he is excellent. His names is: MIguel Herrera [email protected] The hospital is the American British Cowdray Hospital abchospital.com Good LUck!

I highly recommend Dr Rumbaut for the lapband surgery. I had my surgery with him and he is one of the most experienced at this surgery in the world. He is a lovely person and very skilled surgeon. I could have had my surgery for less money with other Mexican surgeons, but I was willing to pay a little bit more to feel at ease and get the benefit of his experience.

Rhonda, I have been researching Dr. Rumbaut myself (for the RNY Gastric Bypass). From what I have found, he seems to be well educated in this feild.
