Question:
Are there any medical procedures that are not possible following WLS?

I have recently heard that WLS makes it impossible for a person to obtain such necessary future medical procedures as liver transplants, etc. Is this so? I have no reason to believe that I will ever need a transplant of any sort, but if I did, would WLS prevent it? If so, why?    — Patience V. (posted on December 3, 2001)

I have read they can't access the lower stomach after rny. They can't scope it. This is really a question for your dr though, to really find out medical answers. Good luck.

Other than the old lower stomach it shouldnt be a problem. MRIs are fine as the titanium staples arent magnetic. Lighter we should all be a LOT healthier, better able to stand the strain of any necessary medical procedures in the future.
