Are there any medical procedures that are not possible following WLS?

I have recently heard that WLS makes it impossible for a person to obtain such necessary future medical procedures as liver transplants, etc. Is this so? I have no reason to believe that I will ever need a transplant of any sort, but if I did, would WLS prevent it? If so, why?
