Question:
How long to get a surgery date?

I am going to a two hour information session on Monday 11/27. I am wondering what happens at this session and when the paperwork is submitted to insurance (providing that's how you want to go). I'm looking for a timeframe from session to surgery date. What happens in between? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.    — Vikki H. (posted on November 24, 2000)

I am having my surgery Jan 4 with Drew. I would say 1-2 mo. They said they were busy. I scheduled mine in Sept. But that was my choice.

I had an initial consult on 10/8/01, information was submitted to my insurance on 10/12/01, I got the phone call with approval on 10/17/01 and my surgery was scheduled for 12/4/01 on that same day later in the afternoon. On 10/18/01 I got a call from the hospital to schedule pre-op testing for 11/20/01 -- It is all moving very quickly!!!
