Question:
Where can I obtain a copy of post-op instructions regarding about what to eat,
I had my surg. in 1976 At that time I was not given any post-op instructions. Post-o you were left to "figure it out for yourself". Nowdays I see the pts discussing what they are told to eat, amounts, starting out with liquids for a spec. time and working up to real food. I was not given any info and would like to know what pts are being instructed so maybe I can avoid stretching my stomach pouch out again. I was not told anything about water, vitamins, things to avoid, etc. Can someone provide this info to me? — Linda R. (posted on August 19, 2000)

The site below was a good source for me. Copy and paste and go to the site.
Also check the data base here under post-op diet.
