Question:
Should there be blood in my vomit associasted with Hernia?

I don't know if I have a hernia or not, but I've noticed that on that rare occasion that I do vomit after eating that there are tiny blood spots. I'm very worried about it and wondered if it could be associated with a hernia. Any ideas?    — radiolamb (posted on December 14, 2003)

I dont believe a hernia will cause this but in any case you should call your surgeon immediately! Your surgery was monthsa ago and this needs to be diagnoised and treated. Dont mess around call NOW!

I doubt any blood is associated with a hernia - more likely an ulcer or some gastritis. At any rate, you need to be on the phone to your surgeon ASAP, if not sooner! Don't wait around until you have other symptoms. Bringing up blood anything is cause for concern, no matter how small the amount!
