Question:
Do many have plastic surgery without having insurance cover it?
I realize that having WLS there could be some complications and maybe you wouldn't want to pay out of pocket for it (thank God I had insurance for that) But, now I am looking at a tummy tuck and arm lift. My insurance will NOT pay for it. It is somewhat affordable to pay myself (with the help of a loan) however, I am very worried about complications...what then? Anyone experience complications with these surgeries, and if so what kind and where you covered for this or not? Thanks! — Karen A. (posted on February 26, 2002)

Negotiate follow-up and potential complications with your plastic surgeon
BEFORE paying out of pocket. Good luck!
