Question:
Has anyone had nitrous oxide since having surgery at the dentist's office?
I have an awful toothache tonight; it has been exactly 24 days since my surgery, and I am afraid the tooth might be abscessed. I have always had nitrous oxide for any dental producedures, and would want to have it after my Mini Gastric Bypass surgery. Is it dangerous after surgery? — Kate F. (posted on November 11, 2000)

It should be no more of a problem for you to have nitrous oxide at this
point than before your surgery. Any anesthetic that you had for your
surgery would be out of your system by this time. Good luck!

I did this. It's fine. Our gut is changed, but the NO doesn't go through
there, so it's the same as before.
