Has anyone had nitrous oxide since having surgery at the dentist's office?

I have an awful toothache tonight; it has been exactly 24 days since my surgery, and I am afraid the tooth might be abscessed. I have always had nitrous oxide for any dental producedures, and would want to have it after my Mini Gastric Bypass surgery. Is it dangerous after surgery?
