Question:
How do I know which surgeon to use for my surgery?
I have the support of my primary care physician for the surgery and I'm so excited, but my primary is not very familiar with the surgery and can't help much in recommending a surgeon. I live in the Metrowest area of Boston and need some suggestions on which surgeons are best. — Deborah M. (posted on April 19, 2000)

If you go to the first listing of this site...on the left hand side you'll
see "find a surgeon" click on your state and go from there. Lots
of information.

I would go to the ASBS.org and look under regual members for surgeons in
MA. Make a list of them. Next I'd go to the find a surgeon section at AMOS
and make a list of the ones in MA. While at AMOS you can click on each
surgeons's name individually and you can see what comments were made about
them. I'd also email several of the patients......those who made comments
and those who did not and make a few choices from there. Good Luck
